EUGENE, Ore. – Kendall Baisden continued her impressive freshman season by capturing the 400-meter title Sunday, the final day of action at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. Baisden's victory at the two-day meet featuring U.S.-born athletes under the age of 20 was one of a number of strong efforts over the last two weeks on the national stage by members of the Texas track and field program. Former UT athletes Michelle Carter (shot put), Trey Hardee (decathlon) and Leo Manzano (1,500 meters) all captured titles at last week's USA Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, California.
