Nevadans at USATF Junior NationalsPublished by
Several Nevada athletes are competing this weekend at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championship in Clovis, Ca. Centennial HS's Karina Haymore, running for the Nevada Gazzelles, placed 5th in her heat and 15th overall in the 800 meter prelims running 2:11.05. Karina did not make the finals. Kai Benedict, formerly of McQueen HS, now running at U. of California, placed 2nd in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase running 8:56.35, a time that qualifies for the World Junior Championships. Connor Ross, also from McQueen HS, now running at BYU, placed 6th in his heat of the 1500 Meters running 3:52.68. He did qualify for the Saturday finals. Dajour Braxton, from Centennial HS, now running at LSU, placed 2nd in the 5,000 Meters running 15:28.80 More news |
